I’m a higher education professional by day and, by night, the Founder of Just Write by Ashley Calligraphy LLC!
After making my own wedding signage for my September 2020 wedding #COVIDBride, modern calligraphy became a creative outlet for coping with daily stressors.
Between planning a wedding (about a zillion different ways) and working long hours in student affairs, writing and crafting helped channel my energy into something beautiful.

Fast forward to a few months after our wedding. After purchasing a 3-drawer carts’ worth of art supplies from Michaels and making custom items for friends, my husband said to me “Ashley, why don’t you just do this for real? What’s stopping you?”
With his push - Just Write by Ashley Calligraphy launched on Instagram in January 2021. After a logo change, business formation, refining my processes, and expanding my services, one thing has stayed the same: the love of creation and collaboration.
The creation process clears my head, allows me to pour my heart into custom projects, and literally pushes me to just write on the most special items for the most special clients.
